January 2010
March 10th sees the publication of my latest hardback, SEALED
SECRETS, published by Piatkus. On May 5th STAY WITH ME will be published by
Piatkus in paperback. They will be appearing in Large Print and Story Sound
later in the year.
My Westerns continue to appear in Large Print at regular intervals,
all published by Magna Large Print.
I recently completed another Jessica Blair novel entitled I WEPT
FOR THE MORNING SUN which is now in hands of my publisher. It will probably be
published in 2011.
Now I am working on ideas for the next Jessica Blair novel.
I continue to run my Book Review column in my local weekly paper
Gazette and Herald published in York. It is a column I have run for many years
and now I enlist the help of my twin daughters who are excellent assessors of
the written word. We all love books.
I was recently interviewed for a feature that will appear in the
Colour Supplement of the Independent On Sunday. It is about Romantic Fiction.
The journalist was interviewing three novelists, members of the Romantic
Novelists’ Association, - two females and one male. The feature is to appear
on 14th February – appropriately Valentine’s Day.
I am doing a signing session at the Whitby Bookshop in Church
Street, Whitby on Saturday 16th May, 1 until 3, and would be delighted to see
anyone interested.
On Tuesday 29th June I am giving a talk, along with another writer,
Benita Brown, during Middlesbrough’s Literary Festival. The event will take
place in the Acklam Library 6 – 8 pm. Again, we would be delighted to see
anyone interested.
I keep getting interesting emails from readers around the world. I
like to hear from fans, to get comments and know I am giving pleasure to people
So if there are any more of you who would like to write to me I would be pleased
to hear from you, email : 44sqd@freeuk.com. And I also have a Blog. You can
reach it through this Website – just click on to Blog on the home page and we
can be in touch about anything you like – you can comment on existing entries
or introduce new ones. I will do my best to answer any queries especially if
they are to do with my writing or writing in general – or whatever.
You can read about Jessica Blair Country on this Website and on my
Blog where it is illustrated with some of my photographs and widens to cover
backgrounds to my novels and the countryside in which I live.
